The leads should be shorted together or the device placed in conductive foam during storage or handling to prevent electrostatic damage to the MOS gates. The ensured specifications apply only for the test conditions listed. Some performance characteristics may change when the device is not operated under the listed test conditions. (2) Running the 1 MHz to 30 MHz test pattern at 1080i this part will dissipate approximately 9.2 W. This is the commonly accepted test pattern that is representative of the worst case high frequency content for normal television viewing. This is the pattern used to estimate the worst case power dissipation of the LM2450 in its normal application.
